The Voice is an Australian singing competition television series broadcast on Nine , based on the original The Voice of Holland. The show is hosted by Sonia Kruger , who took over as host during the fifth season, following the departure of Darren McMullen. The show is part of the television franchise The Voice and is structured as three phases: blind auditions, battle rounds and live performance shows. In , the show added another phase: the knockouts between the blind auditions and the battles. Each judge has the length of the auditioner's performance about one minute to decide if he or she wants that singer on his or her team; if two or more judges want the same singer as happens frequently , the singer has the final choice of coach. Each team of singers are mentored and developed by their coach. In the second stage, called the knockouts, coaches pick three of their acts to go against each other in a sing off, with a theme.

Judah Kelly has lived up his stage nickname "King Judah" by reigning over the competition in this year's series of The Voice Australia. In the end it was an all-male contest, with Hoseah Partsch and Kelly chosen as the final two singers by an audience vote. Before performing his winner's single, year-old Kelly said: "I've had my struggles and I've had my doubts and I've had my times of darkness. But I've had people there to help support me. And the song for me is, you know, I'm there for them as well.
